Midsummer Catch-Up

I guess it doesn't seem like anything much is happening on the Odd Girl Out front, as I haven't posted any new shows or podcasts for some months. I am just starting to write my dissertation, so am unlikely to do any new shows for awhile.

But, I have not been idle. I regularly post old shows to Mixcloud, and they link to playlists on here, so you should still have a "new" show from me every week. Do check them out!

Plans for the summer

Alas, there has been another long gap in my posts, but I am pleased to say that things are moving, and I am hoping to be back on-air soonish, with an exciting web-based project.

In the meantime I have posted OR11, which includes an array of delights from Vienna.

Hope things are warming up where you are.

Hello again....

It's been awhile, but I have resumed uploading shows to Mixcloud, the latest of which is OR9, originally aired in January, 2010 and a doozy, if I do say so myself.

Currently, I am on the lookout for a new home for Odd Girl Out, which I would like to air live monthly, so if you know of any London-based web stations with a studio, do let me know.

I have been posting old Odd Girl Out shows to my Mixcloud account for awhile now.

Currently residing there are three shows I did over the summer, as well as the first eight shows I did on Optical in 2009. Something for your holiday listening!

This Thursday live on Summer of '12

This Thursday evening I shall be doing an experimental Odd Girl Out show live from Sound Fjord as part of radeq's Summer of '12 series. I shall be broadcasting from 18:30 BST to sunset, before the station hands over to New Zealand!

Very much looking forward to it, and I have been busy compiling, editing, and digitising field recordings from my travels this summer for the occasion. Will also be playing summer- and sun-themed music (with a sprinkling of rain--this is Britain!).
